Venice council candidate Nuender puts out a press release to correct the record about the perceived connection between developers and his campaign
Dr. Joe Neunder Press Release
Dear Venice City residents,
The election is coming up on November 5th and there has been some misinformation about me and my campaign with regard to where I stand on issues, campaign mailers being distributed, developer money, and political signs. I want you to know that I am committed the City of Venice, its residents, businesses and taxpayers; not developers, as the CONSORTIUM and their followers have falsely posted on the web.
Over the past 7 Months, I have been diligently engaging our community, meeting with individuals, homeowner associations and small business owners to listen and learn about the issues facing our community. First and foremost, I want to protect the unique character of Venice, keeping it compatible with the aesthetics and beauty that is the Venice we LOVE. I will ALWAYS work to preserve and protect our environment and water quality. I want to make sure that growth is responsible, smart and manageable, with a focus that growth should paying its way at 100% now and in the future.
There has been misinformation about my campaign contributions and I wanted to set the record straight. I have NOT taken money from any developer(s) and I highly encourage you to visit the Venice City election website which lists each and every contribution. You will find campaign donors that are my friends, family, patients and residents. With regard to the Dark Money PAC getting involved in this race, my attorney and I have sent a letter requesting that the mailers stop. My campaigns signs are placed around the city, where received approval at each location by advocating for the important issues and keeping this campaign local!
As a 30-year community RESIDENT, local small business owner, and family man, I am VESTED IN VENICE and its future. I’m fiscally conservative and understand the importance of getting the most out of every tax dollar we collect. In the final stretch of the campaign, if we haven’t connected, I would like to hear from you! Feel free to contact me at 941-914-5262.
I am asking for your VOTE, so that I can make a difference and ensure that your concerns and needs are ALWAYS addressed. I would be honored to have your vote on November 5th for City Council, Seat 6.
