While on routine patrol (6/08/19) a deputy observed a disheveled female sitting in her walker crying. A bystander informed the deputy that the victim had just been battered by a male named “Worm”. The deputy was familiar with “Worm” and was known to him through prior contacts as Marcus Miller.
The victim stated that she was sitting in her walker within the parking lot of the Bradenton Quick Mart when the defendant approached her and began yelling that she owed him money and needed to pay. She told him she did not owe him anything and does not know what he is talking about. This angered the defendant who then grabbed her by the neck cutting off her circulation. A woman saw this and yelled at the defendant to stop which he did. He then grabbed the victim by her arms and pulled her off of her walker throwing her to the ground. The same female bystander stepped in again urging the defendant to stop the attack. The defendant then fled the area on foot.
Through investigative means, the victim positively identified the defendant and deputies obtained a warrant for his arrest. On (6/11/19) Miller has located at 701 17th Ave W, Bradenton and taken into custody.
