SCSO 15 Apps Parents Should Know About – Whatsapp
#15AppsParentsShouldKnowAbout is an educational campaign launched by Sheriff Tom Knight following the arrest of 25 individuals who traveled to Sarasota County to have sex with who they believed was a 14-year-old child. All of those arrested utilized one or more of the 15 apps to solicit a child for sex. In an abundance of caution, the sheriff’s office launched this campaign which is solely intended to bring awareness to parents whose underage children may have unrestricted access to social media.
