I’m very appreciative of Commissioner Corcoran’s decision to investigate the depth of what transpired and hold people accountable.

“It is clear to me that an independent review is necessary to determine the full scope of what has occurred, ensure that all students are receiving the required services, and reestablish the public trust,” Corcoran wrote.

The allegation is that the school system placed students into programs that are reserved for kids with sever disabilities.   This stems from a judgment that came down in administrative court, which concluded that this was indeed happening, and it was taking place to boost the counties state grade.

So, not the Florida Department of Education has launched an investigation, based upon this ruling.

Yet another check mark for Todd Bowden’s to put on his resume, as his decision to resign and leave behind the turmoil that evolved under his tenor as the Superintendent.
