Mike Millers group will begin the demolition of Pineapples, to make way for his latest project in Venice

I covered the purchase and plans for this in a video report back in Marcy of 2018.  The plan is a boutique hotel, if they could purchase the Masonic Lodge.  Otherwise it will be some seasonal condo’s, a restaurant and retail spaces.  Not sure if the plan has changed.

The gas station that was just taken down and the old Pineapple properties are now owned by Mike Miller under CS of Venice Development Company.  You can listen to that report by clicking the link at the bottom of this article.

On Tuesday, June 11, MPS Development will set up perimeter fencing at the old Pineapples Island Grille site at 133 Tamiami Trl. S., Venice, along with a detour for the Calle Fiesta alleyway.

This detour will be in place for the duration of demolition at the site and construction of new mixed-use development. Construction is expected to last at least a year.

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and follow posted signage.
